Since 2020 Kilter has direct seeded almost 200ha of native vegetation across six Girgarre Australian Farmlands Fund properties. This effort varies from restoring large open ex-agricultural paddocks to regenerating understory in small isolated woodland remnants across the properties.

The species seeded are broadly acacia-eucalypt type, but the seed mix is nuanced according to local site conditions. The germination response to date (which can take 3-4 years to reveal) is wide and varied, very much mirroring the variation in site condition and history.

The 2022 direct seeding program is planned to see a further 60 ha of seeded area.
