Kilter Rural CEO Cullen Gunn is one of the most experienced voices in farmland and water management and ecosystem services.

Cullen discusses the investment approach undertaken at Kilter Rural in an interview with the host of the podcast Inside the Rope David Clark. David is an adviser and partner at Koda Capital, with his interview series featuring some of the leading minds in wealth management.

Cullen has more than 25 years’ experience working in land and water management. He says the economic fundamentals of investing in farmland and water assets are underpinned by demand and supply of food and fibre to a growing world population. Delivering returns while providing impact is possible, and it’s a philosophy adhered to at Kilter Rural.

Working in Australian landscapes is a privilege, he says, and in 2004 he helped establish Kilter Rural as a vehicle for investment in sustainably managed farmland and water asset. Kilter Rural has since grown to become a specialist manager dedicated to investment in Australian real assets of farmland, water and ecosystem services with a particular focus on regenerative agriculture.
